Commission of Inquiry Terms of Reference

The Commission will commence the Inquiry on 1 July 2025 and submit a final report to the Government by 30 November 2026. It may also make interim reports.
Paul Anastassiou KC will lead the Commission. Mr Anastassiou is a former Federal Court Judge and currently a Victorian Bar member.
The Queensland Government has provided a detailed Terms of Reference, and QFKC has taken the initiative to develop a quick document that is easy to read.
Queensland Foster and Kinship Care will continue to provide regular updates as they become available to the carer community about how carers can participate in this historic Inquiry into the whole Child Protection System.
