Churches of Christ

Churches of Christ is a not-for-profit, faith-based organisation that has been providing support to individuals and families across Queensland and Victoria for more than 100 years. We are dedicated to walking alongside people in need and helping them thrive, creating a more positive future.

One of our many support services is providing a safe home for children and young people. We have grown to eight service locations across Queensland, delivering foster, kinship, respite, and short-break care to meet the diverse needs of families and children.

We are committed to ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and connected to culture and community. Our services offer trauma-informed support and cultural sensitivity, with a strong focus on preserving the identity and belonging of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. We work closely with families and communities to help children maintain connections to their kin, culture, and Country.

Our dedicated team provides thorough training, resources, and ongoing support to carers and staff, recognising that consistent, informed care is key to positive outcomes for both families and children. We value our work and contribution to communities, ensuring that carers feel supported and make a lasting positive impact in the lives of children and young people.
