Anglicare Southern Queensland is a community service organisation, caring and advocating for Queenslanders in need for more than 150 years. During this time, we’ve proudly supported foster and kinship carers and the young people in their care. As one of Queensland’s leading foster and kinship care agencies, we’re part of Federal and State networks that are committed to supporting and sustaining carers. It’s through the voices of our carers, like you, that we continue to shape what we do in the foster and kinship care space.
As a provider committed to continuous improvement, we support foster and kinship carers to:
access and engage in ongoing and supportive training
access other training and development opportunities to improve the lives of vulnerable young people
feel connected and supported by our team and other carers (i.e., via support or training development groups)
access flexible service delivery and round- the- clock support
participate in voluntary advisory groups or to share their lived experiences
access other intensive and high-level support for their families during challenging times
access support to care for culturally diverse young people, and those with disabilities or complex behavioural issues
access a range of different carer benefits to make your role easier and ensure you feel recognised for your commitment.
