New Swimstart Program

A new SwimStart program for 0-4 year old children is now open for registration. SwimStart provides vouchers for up to $150 to support children, aged 0 to 4 years to access learn to swim lessons.

The voucher can be used towards in-person weekly or intensive learn-to-swim programs that meet the minimum session requirements and that are offered by registered SwimStart Activity Providers.

Each child is eligible for only one (1) voucher per financial year.

Child Safety Officers can refer children for a SwimStart voucher by registering to become a Referral Agent at the following link:

Key dates:

27 October 2023 - Eligible referral agents and organisations can register for SwimStart.

7 November 2023 - SwimStart round 1 opens for voucher applications.

1 May 2024 - Round 1 closes for voucher applications.

29 May 2024 - Last day for round 1 vouchers to be presented to an activity provider.
